Celebrating the life of
Susan Elaine Reyes
Passed away on October 02, 2024
Susan Elaine Reyes, aged 58, a lifelong resident of Savannah, GA, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, after a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family. She was a loving wife and mother, a servant of Christ, and a cherished friend to so many.
Born and raised in Savannah, she graduated from Savannah Country Day School, class of 1984, before attending the University of Georgia, where she was a proud member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. Her passion for the Georgia Bulldogs was unmatched—her zeal for the team was bone-chilling.
She worked alongside her mother, Elaine Harris, running Harris Title and Research for over 30 years, serving the Savannah community with dedication and integrity. Her beloved dog, Bailey, was always by her side, providing constant companionship and love.
She was an active member of the PTF at Savannah Christian Preparatory School, always present at every school, sporting, and shooting event, cheering on her two sons, Joseph and Michael, and treating their friends as if they were her own.
In 2022, she found a new spiritual home at Life Bridge Church, deepening her relationship with Christ and her community.
She is survived by her father, Richard Harris Sr.; mother, Elaine Harris; husband, Vance Reyes; brother, Richard (Richie) Harris; her two beloved sons, Joseph and Michael Reyes; and her stepdaughter, Ashley (Joseph) Stembridge.
Her sons’ friends, whom she treated as second sons, and three of her closest friends will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Owen Gorman, Philip Robinson, Cullen Jones, Andrew Jakubsen, Jake Reese, Will Hale, Carter Boatenreiter, Grant Mitchell, Angie Arrowood, Crawford Hammond, and Katie McDonald.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at LifeBridge Church, 1821 E. Montgomery Cross Road, Savannah, GA.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be begin at 12:00 p.m., at LifeBridge Church, with a reception following the service.
Her unwavering love, spirit, and devotion will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her.
Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of Susan. She was so kind to Philip and she meant so much to him. We are praying that God will comfort you and give you strength during this difficult time.

Sending Susan’s family my sincerest condolences!! Susan and I have known each other a lifetime. We were both adopted at the same time and our parents both named us Susan Elaine. Our families knew each other through church and joked that they could have easily been given the “other” Susan. I always felt a special bond and I am just terribly sorry for your loss. Sending may prayers for the entire family.

I am so sad to hear the news about Susan. We were classmates at SCDS and she was such a genuinely kind person. In recent years, we seemed to always be shopping at Publix at the same time and enjoyed catching up. I pray for peace for her family.

To the Harris and Reyes family Susan was one of the most caring people I know. We share in your loss as everyone that knew her does. Our deepest sympathy. Paula Poppell and my entire family.

Joseph and Michael and the rest of the Reyes family, my most fervent prayers go out to you in this time of loss as you mourn the passing of your dear mother. Surround yourself with pictures of your life together so that you can relive the memories she helped make with you while she was here on Earth. I have found that this helps me deal with the loss of my parents. Don’t be afraid to share your memories with others. This is what she would have wanted. Remember, she will always be with you in a special place in side you. She will be watching over you from Heaven until you are joined again.

Dear Elaine, Dick, Richie, Joseph, Michael, and Vance, Susan was one of the dearest, most radiant, and wonderfully warm persons I ever knew. I first met her when she, still in high school at the time, helped her mother in the record room after school. It seems it was such a short time ago that I knew her as a teenager and I have never really thought of her in any other way. I have spent the past few days reflecting on what a privilege it has been for all of us to have had her in our presence. May you find peace and joy for the memories she provides.
